JVS’ 10th Annual Strictly Business Luncheon honors Major Properties' Brad Luster

Each year, more than 700 business leaders, top executives, young professionals and government and policy makers come together for JVS’ Strictly Business Luncheon. An annual celebration of Los Angeles businesses and employees, the event featured keynote speakers and honorees from industries such as banking, entertainment, medicine and more. In 2006, Stanley Black of Black Equities joined a long list of honorees that have included Richard Kovacevich, Chairman and CEO of Wells Fargo, Alfred E. Mann, Chairman and CEO of Advanced Bionics, Bruce Karatz of KB Home and Dr. Sidney Harman of Harman Industries.
JVS’ Strictly Business Luncheon not only highlighted businesses that have made a difference, but also payed tribute to employees who have overcome a range of barriers to find success in the workplace.
In 2007, JVS will honored Brad Luster, Managing Partner of Major Properties. A seasoned real estate professional, Mr. Luster has been a top producer for Major Properties for over sixteen years. In 1996, Brad and his brother Jeff became owners of the firm, which was stared by their father Arnold in 1964. Major Properties specializes in commercial and industrial properties and serves the great Los Angeles area. A past president of the Guardians of the Jewish Home for the Aging, past chair of the Jewish Federation Real Estate division, and past chair of the Blazers Youth Development, JVS is pleased to present Mr. Luster with the Business Leadership and Philanthropy Award at our annual Strictly Business Luncheon.

| WHEST(West Hollywood Employment Services and Training) |
In partnership with the City of West Hollywood, JVS works with local businesses in the West Hollywood area regarding human resources, labor and tax law information and assistance as well as recruitment. Geared mainly towards the small business owner or entrepreneur, WHEST is a resource for businesses that lack either the knowledge or staff to address common workplace issues. WHEST also helps job seekers of all ages (including students from local high schools) with counseling, assessment, career planning, and job search skills training.
