Support the JVS Scholarship Fund
Giving Options
Your donation to the JVS Scholarship Program Annual Fund enables JVS to distribute annual scholarships, as well as to create and run programs for our recipients that give them greater chances for future success. In addition to donating funds for direct scholarship awards, general Scholarship Program donations are always welcome and very much needed.
Sponsorship Programs
The JVS Scholarship Fund’s two sponsorship programs offer students and donors the chance to connect on a personal basis. Sponsors provide the financial support needed for students to receive scholarships, while students become aware that people care about them and are willing to invest in their futures.
In making such a gift, Sponsors have the opportunity to get to know the students they are sponsoring, allowing for personal interaction and connections to be made. Sponsors receive personal letters and updates from their students, as well as an invitation to attend our annual Scholarship Awards Reception, which many of our grant recipients attend.
Adopt A Student Sponsorship
Individuals and corporations who donate $1,800 or more per year to the Scholarship Annual Fund are matched with individual JVS Scholarship recipients, creating one-year scholarships that may be named in the sponsor's honor, or in honor or memory of a loved one.
Award A Diploma Sponsorship
The Award A Diploma sponsorship program represents an extension of the Adopt A Student program. Individuals and corporations who donate at least $7,200 ($1,800 or more per year for four consecutive years) to the Scholarship Annual Fund are matched with one JVS Scholarship recipient for a full four years, from freshman year through graduation. The Award a Diploma program offers an unparalleled opportunity for sponsors and students to develop meaningful relationships over time.
Honorary or Memorial Tributes
A gift to the JVS Scholarship Fund is a meaningful way to remember a loved one, or to honor a relative, friend or associate on a special occasion. Tributes may be designated for the Scholarship Annual Fund or for the Scholarship Endowment Fund.
Circle Of Honor Endowment Fund
The funds invested by Circle of Honor donors play an essential role in supporting the JVS Scholarship Program now and in the years to come. The Circle of Honor Endowment Fund is long-term investment mechanism enabling JVS to use a percentage of the total earned interest to create scholarship awards now, while reinvesting the remainder of the funds to create awards into the future.
Individuals and corporations who join the Circle of Honor, starting at the $25,000 level or above, create a permanent scholarship fund that may be named in the donor’s honor or in honor or memory of a loved one. Circle of Honor pledges may be paid over five consecutive years.
Circle of Honor donors are prominently acknowledged on the JVS Wall of Honor in four categories:
Silver Circle (gifts of $25,000)
Gold Circle ($50,000)
Platinum Circle ($75,000)
Diamond Circle ($100,000 or more).
Donors are also invited to attend our annual Scholarship Awards Reception, where they have the opportunity to meet the recipient(s) of their scholarship awards.
Planned Giving
Making a planned gift to the JVS Scholarship Fund is a thoughtful way of preparing for your future while at the same time arranging for the future of Jewish students in need. By making a planned gift, donors are often able to enjoy multiple benefits - making a gift that is meaningful to you while also taking advantage of state and federal tax benefits.
