| WHAT: | In an economy when many Angelenos are
struggling to make it work, JVS is recognizing the accomplishments of
several individuals who are giving back, as well as clients who have
overcome enormous struggles to find success. C. Frederick Wehba, Chairman of BentleyForbes, will be honored with JVS 2008 Leadership Award, and Shout! Factory’s Richard Foos, Garson Foos and Bob Emmer with JVS’ 2008 Corporate Award. In addition, the event will celebrate former JVS clients Danitra Turner, left paralyzed by a drive by shooting who found a new career with JVS’ BankWorks training program, Joseph Workman, an ex-convict who started over in his sixties, and Melissa Hebrard, a single mother who spent most of her life in the foster care system. |
